STONEMATS
Individually crafted by our small team of stone weavers from the rugged West Coast of the South Island, New Zealand.
The stones move down the many rivers flowing from the Southern Alps to the Tasman Sea. They are carried the length of the West Coast by the northerly drift, tumbling and polishing as they travel, some as far as 300kms.
Mother Nature, using waves, wind and tide, uncovers small pockets of these stones on our beach.
We are fortunate to have consent to harvest stones from one of the few beaches where this occurs.
Stonemats look and feel great on tables and floors.
